The Image Group is looking for someone to join our busy e-business team based in Guernsey. The team works closely with our creative and client services colleagues, combining design expertise with programming knowledge to create easy-to-navigate sites that people will want to come back to.

The successful candidate will be fluent in HTML and competent in Photoshop or Fireworks. Some knowledge of PHP & MySQL and an understanding of online marketing, search engine optimisation and DNS would be an advantage but are not essential as training will be given.

How’s YrSQL? Know your PHP from your SEO?

The Image Group is looking for someone to join our busy e-business team based in Guernsey. The team works closely with our creative and client services colleagues, combining design expertise with programming knowledge to create easy-to-navigate sites that people will want to come back to.

If you want to help us to do this even better, you will be Fluent in PHP and able to build complex database-driven websites with MySQL including e-commerce and fully content-managed sites with dynamic navigation. Knowledge of Perl would be an advantage and you will have an understanding of search engine optimisation.

You should be up to speed with basic web server administration tasks and understanding of DNS and domain names. We run a range of dedicated servers for our clients, you would need an understanding of Windows servers and IIS and be able to set up and administer hosting accounts and email services, as well as deal with DNS records/transferring of domain names.
